REMC 16 is one of twenty-eight REMCs in the state of Michigan, promoting the use of digital resources and professional development to enhance K-12 education in their local schools. 

REMC 16 serves public and private schools in the Washtenaw and Livingston counties.  It is the goal of REMC 16 to provide educators with equitable access to information, professional development opportunities, teaching materials, and resources through collaborative partnerships and consortium activities. REMC 16 provides:

  • support with blended learning initiatives
  • a checkout system for exploring new and upcoming technologies
  • no- or low- cost local professional development on various educational technology topics
  • consortium billing for select services

REMC SAVE color_vertical

REMC SAVE  is provided as a service of the REMC Association of Michigan for all Michigan schools. The Project provides large volume contracts for a variety of educational resources. By using REMC SAVE contracts, Michigan schools have saved more than $1 Billion since 1990. Every dollar saved through REMC SAVE today is one more dollar to invest in instruction tomorrow.

REMC RITS Logo

The Regional Educational Media Centers (REMC) Association of Michigan supports a working group network focused on educational technology called the REMC Instructional Technology Specialists (RITS). RITS members are employees of intermediate school districts or regional educational service agencies from across the state. RITS members work on a wide variety of projects to scaffold staff capacity and to support student learning.
