SUPPORT:

If you forget your fax number, simply reach out to Tech staff for support.
Not all staff have a Fax2Mail account/fax number. Please see the appropriate staff in your department or program to send/receive faxes on your behalf.
BASIC INSTRUCTIONS & OVERVIEW:
All Fax2Mail faxing takes place through your email client, in this case Outlook.
You can add your assigned fax number to your email signature line.
Individuals sending you a fax should use that fax number, NOT your email address.
SENDING A FAX:
To send a fax, open a new email.
In the email ‘To’ line, you can enter the fax recipient information in a number of ways:
FirstName_LastName.fax#@fax2mail.com
FirstName_LastName.Company_Name.fax#@fax2mail.com
FirstName.Company_Name.fax#@fax2mail.com
Entering FirstName, LastName, and/or CompanyName will help populate a fax coversheet for you.
If you don’t have FirstName, LastName, and/or CompanyName, you can simply enter the recipient’s fax number like this: fax#@fax2mail.com
Note that the fax cover sheet will not have much recipient information in it in this instance.
Here are some examples:
Attach all files or documents you wish to send via fax to the email.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
The examples above use active Fax2Mail numbers. Please feel free to send test/practice faxes to those numbers.
Any verbiage you place in the ‘Subject’ line of the email will also populate in the fax coversheet as the subject of the fax.
Any verbiage in the body of your email, including signature line, will populate in the fax coversheet.
Fax2Mail supports all document and file types.
Fax coversheets are set up as default to all accounts, but if you wish to send a fax without a cover page, type //CP=NONE in the subject field of your email.
